The QLG series ring main unit is a type of SF6 gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear independently developed and produced by our company. This gas-insulated switchgear uses SF6 gas as the insulating and interrupting medium.
Inside the gas-insulated switchgear, load switches, vacuum circuit breakers, and live busbars are all sealed within a closed stainless steel container filled with gas at a certain pressure. The external structure of the SF6 ring main unit uses American/European standard type bushings to connect with incoming and outgoing cables through cable joints, forming a fully insulated and fully enclosed structure, effectively preventing flooding and resisting pollution, making it suitable for various harsh environments. It is widely used in 12kV ring network or terminal power supply systems.
The gas-insulated switchgear uses high-performance SF6 insulating gas, greatly improving insulation performance. Its compact structure makes it occupy a small footprint, which is very beneficial for miniaturization development. By using SF6 gas, the arc-extinguishing performance of the ring main unit is effectively enhanced. Our gas unit adopts a fully enclosed structure, ensuring that the core components of the switch are not affected by external environments, greatly enriching the application scenarios of this type of ring network; the adoption of a maintenance-free product structure also significantly reduces maintenance work and lowers maintenance costs.
