The types of switch cabinets inside outdoor switchgear may vary, but the functions are basically the same. They mainly provide 10kV high-voltage power to end users, while also having the functions of intelligent power disconnection and circuit protection. The emergence of outdoor switchgear has liberated the distribution room of the power station, adopting a ring network power supply system, which improves the stability of power supply.
Outdoor switchgear is often used in places with high electricity consumption. Generally, this is due to the need to install multiple distribution rooms or box-type substations, and there is not enough 10kV incoming power supply, so outdoor switchgear is installed to increase the 10kV power supply access points to meet the electricity demand of each distribution room and improve distribution stability.
