For branch boxes with switches, the pressure of the insulating gas should also be checked to ensure it is within a safe range.
2. Implement safety control measures
The management of cable branch boxes must follow the dual naming rules for electrical equipment, and the numbering must be uniform to facilitate the issuance of dispatch commands and the execution of maintenance work. In addition, the box door must be locked, and cable tags must be managed to remind nearby residents to stay away. Only in this way can the potential risks posed by high voltage electrical equipment be effectively reduced, preventing serious electrical disasters.
3. Provide backup tools
To ensure a quick response for daily maintenance of cable branch boxes, a certain number of spare parts should be equipped, usually accounting for 3% to 4% of the original value of the equipment. Based on daily management experience, it is suitable to have 1 set of "elbow" heads and 1 set of lightning arresters for every ten branch boxes. When there are many branch boxes, the spare quantity for each type should not exceed ten sets. This can fully meet the sufficient level of replacing spare parts in case of unexpected situations.
